Free Holiday iPhone App & Review

The holiday app includes more than 1600 holidays in more than 140 countries, and allows you to export the events into iCal or into the iPhone calender. Event planning is aided by many useful features, for example a working day calculator and a bridging day calculator.

 Holiday App Features

- Worldwide holidays by year
The holidays are listed according to country and year. You can reduce the view to individual regions, for when specific regional arrangements are in place.
 
- Holiday Lexicon
The Holiday Lexicon provides interesting information to each holiday. The characteristics of a holiday, for example whether it is a non-working day, or whether is should be represented as a public holiday or a customary holiday, can be customized.

- Working-day Calcluator
The Working-day Calcluator shows an overview of the working-days and free days for a chosen period. The working-days of a month can easily be calculated.

- Export
The holidays can be exported directly to your iPhone when using iOS 4. There also exists an iCal-Feed Export to include the holidays in your PC or Mac calendar program or your iPhone when using iOS 3.

- Today’s Holidays
All holidays on a particular day can be shown using the feature "Today’s Holidays".

- Upcoming Holidays
The upcoming holidays of one or more counties (as according to selection) can be shown in a list.

- Favorites
"Favorites" allows easy access to the desired information. Favourites for countries and regions, as well as for holidays can be set up.

Buying Exports

In the App we offer the export of holidays, either directly into the iPhone Calender or into iCal format, so you can incorporate your events into your chosen calender programme. This involves a large expenditure which means it cannot be offered without charge. The exports are available to buy vie In App Purchase. In this way we can offer you a superior service and ensure that the data can be maintained. Should updates or corrections to events occur in later versions, these will be applied to your previously purchased exports.

Basis Version and Premium Version

The Basis Version is more limited and not all of the features work to their full extent. It is possible to upgrade to the Premium Version within the App via In App Purchase. The Basis Version is financed through advertisements, which are not found in the Premium Version.
